"YOU GUYS STARTED OUT IN A JAIL CELL"

As you know we're out to Europe today...here's something to read while we're on the plane—a great interview in pensatos.com that touches on BLK JKS past present and future.

Essential reading HERE.

I wonder if every interviewer will foist on you the responsibility to bring together a broken country?

I thought that was the politician's job?

I don’t think anyone is imposing such a responsibility on them. But they are in a position (along with all artists for that matter) to change a generation simply by the fact that they play/perform a music genre that in itself is a transformation for its people. History has shown that it can do just that.

The article places that responsibility fairly and squarely on them from my reading, as have other ones that approach South Africa from the outside in terms of their viewpoint but hopefully, Blk Jks won't end up as the media's new Living Colour.
